![]() ![]() ![]() A few things are "new hotel kinks" but some things were not and, cumulatively, it was a terrible stay. The rest of our experience with the new MGM National Harbor was terrible. We were upgraded to a nice suite when the room we ordered wasn't available. ![]() There is literally no artwork of any kind. The rooms themselves are spartanly designed and lack any creative warmth. When I approached the reception desk again at 6:30, I was told our room was unavailable (a specific type of room with a specific view I'd booked months in advance)!?! This is when we were given the upgrade. We checked our bags at the bell desk and milled through the casino and got a bite to eat waiting for our room. Check-in was 3:00 and at 4:00, we were told our room was being cleaned and would be available soon and that we would receive a text and e-mail letting us know when it was ready. We arrived at the hotel and, despite having checked in earlier in the day online, we had to wait for 30 minutes to check in. We had splurged and reserved one of the nicer rooms, so the context here is that this was our experience in paying almost $600 for one night for a room (extremely overpriced and ultimately a terrible value). ![]()
